James Ford “Butch” Allen

James has over 40 years of experience helping run Science Fiction and Fandom conventions. He was Chairman for Sci-Con 8, Vice Chair for Sci-Con 13 and was the Con Suite head for many others. He helped run Con Suites for many conventions and was a Guest at several Virginia Conventions. He was President of the Hampton Roads Science Fiction Association, as well as editor and publisher of their Fanzine “The Liberated Quark”. He is best known for his 30+ years of involvement with MarsCon, where he served as Chairman, Vice Chair, President of the Cooperation and general pain in the rear.
